NATASHA NIEUWHOFTo investigate how collaborative marketing activities amongst vineyards contribute to the success of wine tourism in that region - USA, Canada
FELLOWSHIP CONCLUSIONS & OUTCOMES
Receiving her Churchill Fellowship in 2011 was a lifechanging experience for Natasha, providing her with the opportunity to play a significant role in shaping the future direction of the Tasmanian wine industry and wine tourism. Subsequent positions on the Wine Tasmania Board and regional collaborative wine and tourism groups have allowed her to encourage others to play a more proactive and participative role in the creation and development of wine tourism, improve professional standards, and to gain government support and funding for market research and innovation. Education is extremely important for the success of the industry – Natasha continues to work with others to develop career pathways in food, wine and tourism to attract and keep talent in Tasmania as Tasmania grows as a world leader in cool climate viticulture.
“(It was) a unique opportunity that could only be possible due to the work of the Trust.”
